Pahanthudawa Falls & Gorge Excursion
About 2 km downstream from the glenrock, Pahanthudawa Falls, translating to ‘Flame of the Lamp’ Falls cleverly named for the shape of it. It probably is the most unique waterfall in Sri Lanka for its remarkable geographical setting with towering walls of stone on either side, created through hundreds of thousands of gallons of waters of Belihuloya cascading down from the Horton Plains on its way to the Indian Ocean. It is the same river you see (right below) bordering the glenrock dances down to form this off the beaten track nature’s wonder.
